The British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) was formed in 1998 to develop a window-specific rating system, in conjunction with the home improvements industry. They came up with a system that is similar to those used on domestic appliances such as fridges, freezers, washing machines and other household products. The Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) operates a Consumer Code Approval Scheme, whereby organisations that operate consumer-facing codes of practice can apply to CTSI for approval of their codes. The Code of Practice that members of the Glass & Glazing Federation (GGF) work to has been approved by CTSI. Stormclad works to this Code of Practice for the benefit of its customers.

FENSA stands for the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme and was established to enable companies that install replacement windows and doors to self-certify Building Regulations compliance, without the need for a separate assessment from Building Control. In short, because Stormclad is a FENSA registered company, you have complete peace of mind that your installation will be fully compliant with building regulations.
Stormclad are members of The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) to offer complete peace of mind for your home improvement project. The Glazing Arbitration Scheme (TGAS) is an independent Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme for the Glass & Glazing industry. As GGF and FENSA members, you can also benefit from TGAS’s arbitration service in the unlikely event you are not happy with your Stormclad installation.
