The British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) was formed in 1998 to develop a window-specific rating system in conjunction with the home improvements industry. They came up with a system that is similar to those used on domestic appliances such as fridges, freezers, washing machines and other household products. All Stormclad Windows are A+ Rated meaning that they’re some of the most thermally efficient on the market today.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulates the financial services industry in the UK. Its role includes protecting consumers, keeping the industry stable, and promoting healthy competition between financial service providers. You cannot offer finance facility without FCA authorisation, it is the government scheme to ensure finance is not miss-sold. DO NOT look at taking finance with a company until you have checked they are FCA authorised.

FENSA stands for the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme and was established to enable companies that install replacement windows and doors to self-certify Building Regulations compliance without the need for a separate assessment from Building Control. The GGFi was established in 2005 by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) to provide warranty insurance for products for the home improvements market. Their insurance solutions are admin efficient, market relevant and competitively priced. Stormclad are members of the GGFi.

All of our windows are accredited by Secured by Design to verify their integrity, which is the official UK Police flagship initiative that evaluates the effectiveness of products to help reduce crime. It’s been shown that householders using products that meet Secured by Design Standards are up to 75% less likely to be burgled. That’s why they come as standard with Stormclad.

The Glazing Arbitration Scheme
The Glazing Arbitration Scheme (TGAS) is an independent Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme for the Glass & Glazing industry. As we are members of the GGF and are FENSA registered you can benefit from TGAS’s arbitration service in the unlikely event you are not happy with your Stormclad installation.

TrustMark only awards registered firms with their accreditation after detailed checking including on-site inspections to ensure a company’s integrity.
